My Versatile Life

Well ya already know that I write a column in Laptop Magazine, but now it looks like I made into Engadget this year too.

How fitting is this too. I’m a Blackberry lover and it would be only fitting to get capture is a review about that device. It seems Josh T, while do a review took a screen shot of Blackberry 6 new feature Social Feeds.

Social Feeds puts all of your social activities into one place. RSS feeds, Twitter, Facebook, Yahoo Messenger, Window Live Messenger, and I think a couple more. That is me on Twitter letting Laura know she forgot a female in tech when I got capture. Too cool! Ok enough geeking out lol.

So recently I have been writing content weekly for Laptopmag.com as apart of a new weekly series they called “GStyled“. This came about out of a partnership to bring the flavor we have at G Style Magazine to Laptop Mag.

It begin back at CES 2010 (so glad I went thinking back) at the It Won’t Stay In Vegas party. I met a bunch of people there including K T from Laptop Mag. Everyone exchanged cards and then went our separate ways. Following all of those meetings, I took it upon myself to send everyone a little email, just express how it was great to meet them and all. This sparked the process that has resulted in this partnership that we have now.

So I was curious in the Sprint Overdrive 3G/4G Hot Spot device for maybe CES 2011. I was about to go to a store to ask some questions for it when the little chat live agent window popped up. I just wanted to ask a simple question of do they have month to month plans for it like Verizon Wireless does for their MiFi device. Instead I got this….

James: Hi! I’m a live Sprint product specialist. Are there any questions I may help answer for you today?
You: Yes. I have a question about your Overdrive 3g/4g mobile hotspot device
James: Sure, what questions can I answer for you?
You: Can you use it on a month to month plan?
You: And if so, how much would the device be to purchase it
James: I would be happy to help you with overdrive information.

You: No
